CANADIAN HEMP TRADE ALLIANCE SUMMIT
Friday, 17 November 2006, the CHTA/ACCC(Alliance Commerciel du Chanvre Canadien) will hold a meeting at the Greenwood Inn in Winnipeg. Speakers include Dr. Jace Callaway and Lynn Gordon, founder of French Meadows Bakery in Minnepolis.
Speaking of hemp cultivation in Canada, Arthur Hanks, Executive Director of the CHTA, states: "This has been a significant year for industrial hemp in Canada...We have seen Canadian field acreage grow to an estimated 35,000, corresponding with increased consumer demand for healthy hemp foods. In addition, we are seeing the beginnings of a fibre processing industry which will lead to another boost in production."
